I have recently fallen in love with oil on untreated wood. I can sit and paint a piece like this in one day, when normally it would take a bit longer due to the slow drying process working with oils. Staining the wood, pushing the oil in, working wet on wet with my own medium mix, and building up the piece with less medium and more paint. more of these to come :)
